About the Musicians
Noelle Beaudin (Piano)
Noelle Beaudin studied at The Boston Conservatory of Music with Alfred Lee and Alicia Farmer. She has been teaching and performing in the New England area since moving back from France in early 2001. In the USA, she has performed at the Mount Washington Hotel, the Mountainview Grand, Searles Castle, Castle in the Clouds, Copley Place Boston, and various other fine performance spaces and private residences in and around the New England area. She is currently working with Siena Kaplan on Cape Breton style music and performances, as well as traditional folk music and classical violin and piano duo performances.
Siena Kaplan (Violin)
Siena Kaplan began violin and viola at a young age as a classical musician in the Suzuki method. She studied with Philipp Naegele, attended Kinhaven Music School, and participated in the Massachusetts All State Orchestra. Since college she has focused on fiddle music, primarily in the Cape Breton tradition, with some experience in Irish and old time fiddling. Some of her fiddle teachers and mentors include Laura Cortese, Hanneke Cassel, and Kimberley Fraser.
The Tom Robinson Jazz Trio
The Tom Robinson trio performs a wide range of repertoire from Jazz and Popular Standards, Latin, and contemporary Pop music, in a jazz piano trio format. They have been performing throughout New England for the past several years. The trio has been featured in concerts at the Capitol Center for the Arts, Paul Creative Arts Center, the Silver Center for the Arts, the Mountaintop Music Center and the Concord Community Music School. The trio's recording, "Skylight" features original music.
